Swoop travellers (aged two years and older) will undergo a temperature check before boarding. This is a non-contact temperature check that will be done at the gate to ensure the health and safety of all Swoop travellers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
When will my temperature be taken?
All Swoop travellers will have their temperature taken before boarding.
What is the temperature range that you are looking for?
Swoop’s temperature reference is 38 °C and above, which is considered above normal body temperature and the guidance provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). If an elevated reading is obtained, the traveller will be observed for symptoms associated with COVID-19 through additional screening.
What if I show signs of a fever?
If you show an elevated reading, you will be observed for symptoms associated with COVID-19 through additional screening. If you are showing symptoms related to COVID-19, you will be denied travel and will be provided options for rebooking.
What happens if I am denied boarding?
If you are denied boarding, our agents will be able to provide you with more details on what your options are.
