Swoop’s Trusted Travel Getaways are packaged vacations designed to enable sun-seeking Canadians to enjoy a warm-weather vacation with confidence this winter.
The week-long all-inclusive packaged vacations to Montego Bay, Jamaica include return flights between Toronto and Montego Bay, TuGo® Travel COVID-19 coverage, hotel ground transfer and 7-nights all-inclusive accommodation at the Holiday Inn Montego Bay Resort, located within one of Jamaica’s Resilient Corridors.
Trusted Travel Getaways require all travellers to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to boarding and Swoop will be providing travellers with free-of-charge access to pre-travel testing, administered 72 hours prior to departure through our Swoop’s testing provider partner.

How much are Trusted Travel Getaways cost and what is included?
Starting at $1450 per traveller, the peak-holiday packages include a pre-travel COVID-19 test, round-trip flights between Toronto and Montego Bay, TuGo® COVID-19 travel coverage, hotel ground transfers and 7-nights all-inclusive accommodation at the Holiday Inn Resort, whose IHG's Clean Promise details the hotel’s exacting standards of safety and cleanliness. Meals and drinks are included in the cost, as part of the all-inclusive package.
What are the requirements for a Trusted Travel Getaway?
Trusted Travel Getaways packages require all travellers to have a negative COVID-19 test result prior to boarding. Swoop will be providing travellers free-of-charge access to pre-travel tests which will be administered by Swoop’s testing provider partner 72 hours prior to departure. By requiring additional screening measures and precautions, we hope to provide enhanced peace of mind across all aspects of the travel experience.

Jamaica’s comprehensive response to COVID-19 controls entry and manages movement with Resilient Corridors to limit risk and protect tourists and residents. What is a Resilient Corridor? How does this protect travellers and staff?
Jamaica’s Resilient Corridors were created to encourage safe movement and responsible tourism practices as per the COVID-19 protocols dictated by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). Within the Resilient Corridor, all hotels have been inspected and approved to be compliant with requirements around sanitation and disinfection, social distancing, mandating masks, and regular confirmation that all guests and employees are symptom-free (including conducting temperature checks). All employees and patrons of the properties within the corridor are required to wear masks in public spaces, maintain social distancing, and follow hand hygiene protocols.
Why is Swoop requiring travellers to be tested prior to travel?
The addition of pre-travel testing requirements for Trusted Travel Getaways is designed to offer travellers enhanced peace of mind and confidence as they set out to enjoy their holiday. Trusted Travel Getaways include complimentary access to mandatory pre-travel COVID-19 testing to ensure that all passengers on board a departing Trusted Travel Getaway flight have proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to departure.
How does pre-travel testing work?
Swoop is providing travellers access to pre-travel testing at no additional charge to ensure all passengers on board a departing Trusted Travel Getaway flight have proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to departure. Tests that are approved by Health Canada will be administered by a leading medical laboratory service provider, and further details on testing will be provided in short order. Travellers with confirmed Trusted Travel Getaways bookings will be contacted by email with further instructions on accessing testing and Screening Clinic dates, times and locations.
When will travellers learn more about pre-travel testing?
Travellers with confirmed Trusted Travel Getaways bookings will be contacted by email with further details on pre-travel Screening Clinic dates and how to book a time for sample collection, at least 14 days prior to departure. Travellers who book within 14 days departure will receive the email with testing booking instructions within 24 hours.
Is testing required to go to Jamaica? If not, why offer/require pre-travel testing?
A negative COVID-19 test is not currently required for Canadians to enter Jamaica. As part of the Trusted Travel Getaways pilot program, Swoop is requiring and providing a pre-travel COVID-19 test as a means of offering travellers enhanced confidence and peace of mind.
What if something goes wrong while on the trip?
Trusted Travel Getaways packages also include TuGo® Travel Insurance COVID-19 coverage at no additional charge. With this COVID-19 coverage, travellers are covered up to $100,000 CAD for emergency medical and quarantine related expenses, in the event they test positive or are diagnosed for COVID-19 during the trip. It also offers trip interruption coverage if the Canadian Government's travel advisory changes to “Avoid all travel” (level 4) while away. Click here for more details on coverage.
What is covered by the TuGo® coverage?
Emergency medical and hospital costs for outbound travellers if diagnosed with COVID-19 while outside of Canada for up to a maximum limit of $100,000 CAD per insured person. Quarantine accommodation costs if the traveller tests positive for COVID-19 on the trip up to $150 CAD per insured person (or up to $300/day per immediate family), per day to a maximum of 14 days for inbound and outbound reservations. Ambulance transportation and air evacuation costs related to COVID-19, up to the maximum limit of $100,000 CAD per insured person for inbound and outbound guests. COVID-19 repatriation costs in case of death of up to $5,000 CAD per insured person for inbound and outbound guests. Why the Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay? What is the hotel doing to protect travellers and staff?
The Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay is located within one of Jamaica’s COVID-19 Resilient Corridors, which means it has been inspected and is compliant with the required standards of training, protective equipment and processes that have been outlined by the World Travel & Tourism Council. Masks are required in all public spaces in and around the hotel property. Temperature checks will be carried out on check-in and randomly by staff members during your stay. This is to protect everyone and identify any early symptoms. If you exhibit an elevated temperature you will be required to self-isolate in-room until the Ministry of Health personnel are alerted and can advise next steps. The Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay is an IHG property. IHG has partnered with industry leading experts like Cleveland Clinic, Ecolab, and Diversey and in result has launched a global IHG Clean Promise.

Are masks required at the airport/onboard/during ground transport/at the resort (indoors)/ at the resort (outdoor?)/while moving about the corridor?
Travellers will be required to wear a mask while in both airports in Toronto and Montego Bay, as per mandates by airport authorities. Travellers must wear a mask while onboard their Swoop flight for the entire duration of the flight. Travellers will be required to wear a mask on the ground transfer between the Montego Bay Airport and the Holiday Inn Resort. Once within the resort, travellers are required to wear masks in all public spaces. While outside the resort in the Resilient Corridor, masks are mandatory in public spaces.
What is expected of travellers? While in transit? While on the resort?
Travellers are expected to maintain social distancing when possible in the airport, and are expected to wear masks or face coverings throughout the duration of the travel journey when in any public space. Travellers are expected to respect the directions of Swoop Crew Members, the team members operating ground transfers to and from the Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay, and the staff at the Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay.
Do Trusted Travel Getaway Travellers need to quarantine when they return back to Canada?
Yes, the Government of Canada requires anyone entering the country from an international destination to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival and must follow the rules set out by the emergency orders under the Quarantine Act. Travellers entering Canada must: - provide traveller contact information through the ArriveCAN mobile app, or an accessible web-based form, or a paper form. - undergo screening by a border official - answer any relevant questions both when arriving in Canada and during the 14-day period while in quarantine or isolation
