The WestJet Group and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), the union representing
WestJet and Swoop pilots, announced they have reached a tentative deal on the second collective bargaining agreement between the organizations. Both parties now await the
ratification vote to be put forward to membership.

On behalf of all of us at the Swoop and the WestJet Group, we thank you for
your patience and support as we work to recover our operations and get travellers
where they need to go.

The reliability of our network and the safety of our travellers and crew is our
top priority. We are committed to providing timely information along your journey.

If your flight has not been cancelled by Swoop:

  • Please check travel advisories and flight status before you check in for your
     flight or go to the airport.

  • Travellers with flights between May 19-21 can make a one-time change to
    their flight for a $0 change fee and no difference in fare price.

  • Changes can be made online through Manage Bookings.

  • New flights can be selected between May 19 to June 21, 2023 (subject to

If your upcoming flight has been change or cancelled:

  • We kindly ask that you do not proceed to the airport for assistance.
    Airport agents do not have the ability to rebook travellers on new flights.

  • Check your inbox for an email from Swoop with details about your change or
    cancellation and options or instructions on how to request a refund if you no
     longer wish to travel.  

  • Use the link in your email notification to access the Self-Serve Disruption Portal
    and log in with your 6 digit reservation code and the last name associated
    with your booking.

WestJet Vacation Packages including Swoop flights

We kindly ask that you do not proceed to the airport for assistance.
WestJet Vacations guests with Swoop flights can self-manage their WestJet Vacations
booking using WVI self-serve tools.

To cancel your WestJet Vacation and request a refund: 

  • Find your vacation through Manage vacations  

  • View the vacation you would like to cancel  

  • Select ‘Cancel’. You will cancel the Vacation for all guests on this reservation 

  • You will receive a refund to your original form of payment within 30 days.
