You may have heard about new rights and regulations for travellers in the news lately. Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR) are a set of rights outlined by the Canadian Transportation Agency.

They address:

  • communicating to passengers in the event of a delay or cancellation

  • providing compensation for delays and cancellations within the airlines' control

  • ensuring passengers receive prescribed standards of treatment during all tarmac delays and allowing them to leave the airplane over a set period of time

  • providing compensation for lost or damaged baggage

  • setting clear policies for transporting musical instruments.

Swoop is proud to meet the standards of the Canadian Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
