You may have heard about new rights and regulations for travellers in the news lately. Air Passenger Protection Regulations (APPR) are a set of rights outlined by the Canadian Transportation Agency.
They address:
- communicating to passengers in the event of a delay or cancellation
providing compensation for delays and cancellations within the airlines' control
ensuring passengers receive prescribed standards of treatment during all tarmac delays and allowing them to leave the airplane over a set period of time
- providing compensation for lost or damaged baggage
- setting clear policies for transporting musical instruments.
Swoop is proud to meet the standards of the Canadian Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
